Craftsmanship in traditional paper-making values technique and materials over concept or artistry. The mastery of technique and passing down knowledge through generations is what makes each piece unique and valuable, not necessarily the artistic concept.

Ko-san has been collaborating closely with and crafting karakami for Hiroshi Sugimoto and the late Ryuichi Sakamoto.
